Microflebectomy
27 apr 2015
Microflebectomy is a modern method of treating varicose veins, which consists in the removal of varicose veins through micro-punctures (less than 2 mm). This method of correction of venous outflow was developed by the Swiss vascular surgeon Muller, later the technique was improved by the famous phlebologists Varadi and Osh. The technique of microphlebectomy is rather complicated and only those specialists who have passed highly specialized qualifications are fluent in it. To carry out this difficult manipulation, a special tool (micro-hooks) is needed with which it is possible to remove a “large” varicose vein through a millimeter puncture (without a scalpel).
The main advantages of microphlebectomy:
- lack of cuts and seams;
- do not need anesthesia (local anesthesia);
- outpatient treatment (no hospitalization required);
- short duration of the procedure (up to 1 hour);
- there is no recovery period (immediately after the manipulation you will be able to walk);
- the radical nature of the method (varicose veins at the site of microphlebectomy will never appear)
AngioLife Vascular Center specialists are fluent in all types of microfflebectomy at the highest level. The experience of treating varicose veins with microphlebectomy is more than 1000 people, and everyone has achieved an excellent treatment result. In our center, microphlebectomy is used as an adjunct to endovasal EVLK or RFA procedures. All manipulations are carried out WITHOUT ANNESTICITY, WITHOUT CUTS and WITHOUT SEAMS within 2-3 hours.
