Exercise after varicose vein surgery
Of course yes! From the first minutes after EVLA, RFAor closing a vein with Bioglue, the patient needs an hour's walk in the fresh air, and from the second day after the procedure, our patients lead a full life. After 3-4 days after the procedure of endovasal coagulation of varicose veins, you can resume the "favorite" running and cardio training. After the normalization of venous outflow in the legs, lightness appears, swelling and fatigue disappear. Therefore, all dynamic, non-contact sports (which are WITHOUT INJURIES) are necessarily welcome. The most optimal sports for varicose veins are:
- Running
- Swimming
- A ride on the bicycle
- Race walking and Nordic walking
The only rule – this is the constant wearing of compression stockings (especially during physical exertion). It is necessary to limit static loads (lifting barbells, squats with weight, deadlift, etc.), preferably in general, to exclude them for 1-2 months. It is also undesirable to visit saunas and baths for 2-3 months. If all recommendations are followed, after 1-2 months, our Patients do not have a trace of the intervention.
Having undergone EVLA, RFA or Non-thermal ablation in the AngioLife vascular center, you will forever forget about varicose veins, fatigue and swelling of the legs and will be able to enjoy your favorite sport with pleasure.
